Happy weekend everyone! I am back from Thailand and finally feel rested up. Even though it was only a four-hour time difference, I was jet lagged and Tuesday at work was really difficult. Bangkok was amazing and I will be writing some posts soon about my trip. Have you ever been to Bangkok? What was your favorite thing there? Share with us in the comments.

Lost Cities: Where to Pretend to be Indiana Jones – I have been to two of these on this list. Petra is one of them. Above is one of my photos from that trip. These look like amazing trips! Have you been to any of these?

No seatback entertainment system – This is the second article I have seen on this trend this week! I love seatback entertainment system and would hate for it to go away. To be honest, this is the only way I see movies. Will you be sad if this feature goes away?

Cruise Ships Crushing the Life Out of Venice – When I was in Venice this summer, I noticed the giant cruise ships. I kind of wondered how they were able to do that and now we know it has implications. It also ruined the view in my opinion.

Rent a Castle in England – This looks like a fun idea! Not sure how much it costs, but maybe you and a bunch of friends could go in on one together.

8 Things that Could Get Your Travel Insurance Claims Rejected – I have only bought travel insurance a few times and thankfully haven’t had to use it. Have you ever had a claim rejected? I would love to hear your experiences.

Weekly Post Wrap-Up

The Colors of the Mapusa Friday Market – This week I tried my hand at telling you all a story instead of an informative post. What did you think?

Sorry, there was only one post this week. I was too jet lagged to form a sentence.

Don’t forget you can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Bloglovin’. You can also subscribe to receive posts via email in the top part of the sidebar. Stay tuned for next week’s Friday Favorites! Have a great weekend.

Hello from Thailand! I am having a blast here in Bangkok and I can wait to share with you what I have been up to here over the next coming weeks. As India is still so fresh in my mind, I will probably have a few more posts about India before Thailand starts. However, if you want to have a look at Bangkok stuff now, then head over to my Instagram account. One of the great things about this week is that I am meeting tons of other travel bloggers at TBEX. Some of these people I have followed for a little while and some I have just met. So instead of my usual travel articles and destination tips this week, I am going to share with you a few of these people I have met. Please check out some of their blogs as I think they offer a unique view on travel.

The Overseas Escape – Margo is also an expat traveling the world. However, she was an expat in Germany. I say was because she has finished her job in Germany and has been traveling Southeast Asia since August with her husband. Lucky girl got to spend three weeks in Bali and we all know that Bali is high on my list. She also takes amazing photos!

Teacake Travels – Alice is a lovely British girl who has been traveling the world solo since 2012. Lately, she has been exploring Asia, much of the time from a motorbike! Alice gives you the raw nitty-gritty of travel from a woman’s perspective.

Travel Babbo – Eric’s blog’s focus is family travel. I find this very interesting, not because I am interested in family travel, but that he is a man. Most family bloggers I know are women. Eric makes it a point to take each one of his children on a trip of their choosing each year. He also likes to take them on individual trips. What a cool dad!

Girl Tweets World – Jayne is another person trying out her hand as being an expat, but in Australia. She is obsessed with street art, which I can relate to. I almost stopped my taxi today to take some pictures of street art here in Thailand, but the traffic was too bad. While Jayne is still traveling the world, she is also writing about her experiences in Australia as an expat.

That Asian Traveler – Daniel is a 16-year-old travel blogger! Need I say more! He is from Indonesia and is in his last year of school. After graduating, he plans on traveling for several years before going to college. It’s like the ultimate gap year(s). I can’t wait to see what Daniel gets up to.

I have met so many others! I will try to feature a few more over the coming weeks on Friday Favorites.

As I have mentioned before, I am heading to Thailand this week. More specifically, I am heading to Bangkok for TBEX. What is TBEX you ask? TBEX is a conference specifically for travel bloggers to meet and interact with travel industry leaders. It has grown over the years, and it is held in various places around the world every year. There is the one in Thailand; there is one in Florida and a TBEX on a cruise! Next year it is Sweden. Why should you care that I am going to TBEX?! Well, first off I am heading to amazing Bangkok, which, of course, I will review for you in detail, but also it gives me the chance to learn more about travel blogging in the hopes of bringing you better content. There is also the chance that I will discover new places to visit by visiting with the travel industry professionals. Also, I will be meeting other cool travel bloggers and can share with you their amazing trips. I leave on Tuesday and will have this week’s posts ready to go, so nothing on Thailand this week, but if you want a sneak preview you should tune into my Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter accounts for live updates. The best way to stay up-to-date is to subscribe to the blog. You can subscribe by entering your email in the box on the right-hand side of the blog in the Subscribe box!

Thank you to all my loyal readers! I can’t wait to learn more to bring you better stories.

So I have packing down, well packing for me down. I make a list and cross things off as they go in. This is because if I don’t make a list, I forget it. Since I have been traveling to warm places most of the year, I have been packing the same thing on every trip mostly. What I am not good at is unpacking! It can take me over a week to get the suitcase unpacked. All the dirty stuff comes out right away, but the rest just sits in the suitcase. In fact, the suitcase I took to India is still sitting out, but it is unpacked. Since my trips to India and Thailand were so close together, I figured there was no reason to put it away! What about you? What kind of unpacker are you?

On a Trip to St. Croix – I have been thinking about the Caribbean a lot lately. I miss it and the beautiful beaches. Here is an island I would love to visit one day. Doesn’t it look so amazing!

Jungle of Oman – Oman has been on my list pretty much ever since I got to Qatar. This is one of the reasons. Every summer, the south of Oman turns into a cloud rainforest! In the middle of the desert, a rainforest appears! This article from CNN makes me want to plan a trip for next summer.

Fastest wi-fi on a flight – Lufthansa is going to be bringing the fastest wi-fi in the sky to us soon. I have mixed feelings about this. I have had wi-fi on flights but haven’t used it much. It is nice to escape being connected while on a flight, but sometimes I wish I had it. The good news is they won’t allow Skype or Facetime on the planes. What do you think?

Best In-flight experiences for you money – Airlines have been rated by class to tell us what airlines are giving us for our money when we fly. It’s a great list to reference even if you aren’t flying in a premium class because they also tell us which ones have a good economy. I have also discovered that if they have good service in a premium class, then it is probably good in economy class.

Dear Expat, You Are Normal – I saw this blog post on how expats sometimes feel and I could totally relate. Even if you aren’t an expat, reading this is interesting.

Weekly Post Wrap-Up

5 Things About the Goa Airport You Should Know – The Goa Airport has some interesting rules and quirks to it and I tell you all the ones you need to know to make your flights in and out go smoother.

Why I Got Global Entry – It’s all about saving pages! Maybe you will want Global Entry too!
